I just completed the Infrared Thermography Inspection Course and received my Certification for inspecting homes using an Infrared Camera. Using infrared technology helps to identify and confirm observed defects. The infrared camera is like a photographic camera, except that the detector receives light from the infrared spectrum instead of the visual light spectrum. Thermal imaging does not allow the inspector to see through the walls but displays only the differences in surface temperatures. For example, if there is a water leak behind the wall that can not be observed from the face of the wall the camera can detect an abnormality due to temperature differences. The inspector can confirm if moisture is present using a moisture meter.
I am pleased that we will be providing Professional Thermal Imaging Services to our customers.
